NSSA boss earns over $20,000 per month

NSSA boss James Matiza earns over $20 000 as monthly salary and allowances at a time when the social protector's investments are failing.

According to a salary schedule Matiza who falls under grade E1, earns a basic salary of $13 237.99 while he enjoys a list allowances, chief among them housing, representation and telephone allowances bringing his total earnings  to $20 880.78 before tax.

NSSA also spends $118 647.24 on salaries for nine managers.

The schedule claims that Matiza is entitled to a housing allowance of $2 647 representation allowance of $661.90 and telephone allowance of $132.38.
