Wife 'chops' hubby over infidelity allegations

BASHING his wife over infidelity allegations backfired for a Chipinge man after the enraged woman hacked him with a machete all over the body.
Deputy Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the incident which happened at Chikono Village, Chief Garahwa, Chipinge.
He said on January 13 at around 11pm, Charles Kumbula (31) arrived home from a beer drink and found his wife, Loveness Jinga(29), sleeping outside their bedroom hut.
"Charles woke up his wife as he wanted to know why she was sleeping outside, only to be told by Loveness that it was hot inside," said Asst Insp Chananda.
He said Charles accused his wife of infidelity, a reason why she had opted to sleep outside.
"Charles proceeded to assault Loveness. In retaliation, she picked up a machete and struck Charles all over the body several times," said Asst Insp Chananda
Kumbula sustained deep cuts on both hands and on the head.
A report was made to the police and Loveness was arrested in attempted murder charges.
