Tsvangirai's claims are 'rubbish and hogwash' says Zanu-PF

Zanu-PF spokesman Rugare Gumbo on Monday said the Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai's claims that the Mugube led party will reach out to him to form another coalition government are "rubbish and hogwash."
According to Herald, Zanu-PF is busy implementing its economic blue print, ZimAsset, and will not spend time on a political party that has been ditched by its traditional allies in the region and internationally.
"Tsvangirai's proposal for another coalition government is rubbish and hogwash. You cannot judge a new government's policies in about six months," Gumbo said.
"There're a lot of polices and programmes that we need to implement. As Zanu-PF, we have efficient policies and programmes and it's clear that the MDC-T has nothing."
Tsvangirai told supporters in Mabvuku, Harare, on Sunday, that Zanu-PF was likely to re-engage him to rescue what he called "the free-falling economy."
"We're saying our programme is very simple. Baba Chatunga (President Mugabe) and Zanu-PF must come and we dialogue to find a solution to the national crisis that we're facing," Tsvangirai told supporters.
Gumbo said: "We have the Zim Asset that we are implementing and the results will be realised slowly. They think they can come back through the back door and start enjoying the benefits of being in government. That's not going to happen.
"There's a huge difference between what happened in 2008 and 2013. This time Zanu-PF managed to win a majority in parliament. What Tsvangirai is saying doesn't make sense."
Gumbo said Tsvangirai had lost his support in the region and internationally as he violently battles to remain in control of the opposition party.
Botswana, America, Australia, Britain and the EU have criticised Tsvangirai after his supporters violently attacked his rivals for the party leadership.
Added Gumbo: "These countries might not support the Zanu-PF government, but they see the future of this country in the hands of a Zanu-PF government".
