Police summon suspended ZBC boss

Suspended ZBC chief executive officer Happison Muchechetere has reportedly been summoned by police for questioning over the $1 million scandal involving the purchase of a radio Outside Broadcasting Van from a Chinese firm.

Highly placed sources said yesterday that Muchechetere had been summoned to report to the Serious Fraud Squad in Harare this morning.

He might be charged with allegedly inflating to $1.050 million an OB Van worth between $100 000 and $200 000 bought last year from China National Instruments and Exports Corporation.
