THE Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) has issued a stinging pastoral letter, literally accusing government of lacking capacity and leaving citizens at the mercy of "wolves in sheepskin".

In the letter written ahead of the Independence and Easter holidays, the clerics urged law enforcement agencies to deal with those violating the rights of vulnerable groups.

The pastors condemned corruption and other societal ills currently be-devilling Zimbabwe.

ZCC also slammed, "all acts of abuse of women, children and other vulnerable groups through warped schemes and vices of the false 'prophets' that purport to be men and women of God while they use unorthodox religious methods, values and declarations to kill and destroy people's dreams."

Meanwhile, President Mugabe is being called on to swiftly act by reshuffling and changing his cabinet especially in key economic ministries before the country plunges into further economic turmoil.

The usual band of private media analysts warned that if Mugabe keeps his clueless cabinet the country is unlikely to emerge from its present social and economic quagmire.

After the famous GG chicken farm tour, Mugabe left observers believing that he could reshuffle the cabinet when he said there were some within Zanu-PF who feared losing their jobs to the ex-central bank chief.
