President Mugabe's boycott of the European Union/Africa Summit that begins in Brussels, Belgium today has torched a storm at home, with deputy Foreign Affairs minister Christopher Mutsvangwa describing the decision as a victory for Britain and lashed out at his boss.

Foreign Affairs minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, for being undiplomatic.

In an unrestrained attack on a local radio station on Monday evening, Mutsvangwa disclosed he had little access to Mugabe and would have advised the President to attend the summit if he had been accorded the chance to do so.

Mutsvangwa argued the 2 had acted in a reckless manner by putting the First Lady in an embarrassing situation where she was denied a visa.

He also paraded his war credentials saying Mumbengegwi and Bimha were his "juniors" during the struggle and kept themselves away from the war front.
