The trial of convicted rapist, Robert Martin Gumbura who is facing one fresh count of rape has been postponed to the 10th of April 2014 due to an illness.
The RMG End Time Message founder and pastor could not stand the court proceedings because he is ill and the matter was postponed to the 10th of April 2014 in the hope that he would have recovered.
Gumbura almost missed the trial and only came to court at around 9am due to a misunderstanding between the state and prison officers concerning the accused's health.
The state said it was only notified in the morning that Gumbura would not attend court proceedings since he was sick.
Superintendant Takaruza of the prisons office told the court that Gumbura was seen by the medical staff on Tuesday and his condition does not enable him to stand the court proceedings.
Gumbura told the court that he is suffering from back pains, headache, and diarrhoea and that he is vomiting frequently.
Gumbura was sentenced for 40 years imprisonment after being convicted to four counts of rape.
