President Robert Mugabe says those keen to take over after him should declare their interests openly during the party's congress.
He was addressing mainly members of the Gushungo clan in Zvimba soon after discussing the issue of the Beperere chieftainship.
Mugabe said nobody owns party supporters.
He spoke against factionalism being perpetrated by some Politburo members in the running of provincial affairs.
The President also warned that there will be no sacred cows in the ongoing anti-corruption crusade regardless of one's political and social standing.
He said he will not allow a situation where some politically powerful individuals go on the loose demanding bribes and extorting to enrich themselves.
Mugabe also expressed dismay with the way some diamond mining companies are exploiting the resource without openly declaring the money they are getting from the mineral.
