Breaking: Daily News Editor and reporter arrested

Daily News Senior Reporter and Fungi Kwaramba was today summoned together with his editor Stanley Gama to appear at Highlands Police Station in Harare.

The two were made to sign warned and cautioned statements for allegedly criminally defaming a Harare businessman.

Reacting to the incident the Zimbabwe Union for Journalists (ZUJ) said it has always condemned the use of criminal defamation laws and their impact on access to information and freedom of expression.
