Chombo visits fuel tanker explosion scene, 'stop looting culture'

Local Government, Rural and Urban Development Minister, Dr Ignatius Chombo has visited the scene of an accident in Harare's Sunningdale suburb on Saturday night which is feared to have claimed an unknown number of lives.
Three people have been confirmed dead and their names have since been released by the police.
However, the total number of people who died in the inferno are not known as there are others who are believed to have been burnt to ashes.
Upon visiting the scene of the accident, Dr Chombo appealed to motorists to abide by the set road traffic regulations.
He noted with concern the misfortunes that befell victims of the fuel tank explosion whilst urging members of the public to desist from engaging in dangerous practices.
Police have called on members of the public to desist from the culture of looting and have since appealed to people in Sunningdale and other areas whose relatives are missing to come forward and report.
