Speaking while commissioning housing, church and commercial stands at Joshua Nkomo Housing Cooperative in Harare, Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe chairman (Vapostori), Mr. Benedict Mapiravana said it is because of visionary leaders such as Mugabe that Zimbabweans are enjoying the fruits of independence.
"I must stress that for us to own these stands and houses it's because of people like the President Mugabe. We will continue to support you vaMugabe…I am happy to say the necessary measures have been put in place to correct the previous problems we encountered," Mr. Mapiravana said.
ACCZ executive president, Mr. Johannes Ndanga urged Zimbabweans to safeguard the gains of the liberation struggle by contributing significantly to the development of the nation.
"We have a disturbing situation where people run away from their country to work in menial jobs abroad. I must say this has to stop and people should just concentrate on developing our beautiful nation," said Mr. Ndanga.
The ACCZ boasts of over 7 million membership representing churches with indigenous origins.
Most indigenous churches have shown their commitment to support revolutionary principles aimed at empowering indigenous people.
