MDC-T regularizes expulsions
15 Apr 2014 at 07:49hrs | Views
The MDC-T leadership row continues as the party will today hand-deliver letters of expulsion to suspended deputy treasurer-general Elton Mangoma and 3 others in a move meant to regularise their dismissal announced last week.
The party's national council last Thursday announced the expulsion of Mangoma, national executive member Last Maengahama, national youth secretary-general Promise Mkwananzi and former adviser to party leader Morgan Tsvangirai, Jacob Mafume.
The quartet last Friday through their spokesman, Mafume, disregarded the expulsions arguing they were done illegally without following the party's constitution.
MDC-T spokesman Douglas Mwonzora confirmed that the party was formally writing to the quartet informing them about their expulsion.
They will be given an opportunity to respond to the charges.
