MDC-T top gun attends Independence celebrations

In what could be best explained as widening of fissures in the MDC-T, the man tipped as a possible Morgan Tsvangirai replacement, Mr Elias Mudzuri, was seen attending the 34th celebrations at the National Sports Stadium, something unlike the opposition as we have come to know it.
Mr Mudzuri said every Zimbabwean should find reason to celebrate independence as it indiscriminately benefits all citizens regardless of political affiliation.
The MDC-T's conspicuous absence at national events has become the movement's norm, drawing criticism from the majority of Zimbabweans for failing to understand the importance of the events. 
MDC-T president Morgan Tsvangirai and the party's top officials boycotted Friday's event.
