Dad hires assassin to kill son

Fed up by his 20 year old son's incessant challenges at home, Adiel Matoyi a 54 year old Masvingo man allegedly paid an assassin $20 to murder him, magistrate Oliver Madzongachiso heard yesterday.

Matoyi appeared before the magistrate facing charges of incitement to murder.

It is the State's case that on April 18, Matoyi was involved in a brawl with his son after he tried to evict him from his home since he was over 18 years of age.

The two had history of quarrelling over the matters.

Matoyi accused his son of disrespecting him and the furious father paid the assassin $20 to kill his son and also gave him two iron bars to carry out the assignment.
