Woman kills self for flunking exam

A woman, who allegedly failed examinations at two different universities threw herself into the
Zambian side of Victoria Falls in Livingstone and her body was found on the Zimbabwean side.
Although police in Zimbabwe said no report was made, witnesses confirm the body was retrieved from rapid 4, on the Zimbabwean side of the river.
"We have checked, we did not receive such a report. If the body was found on our side, Zambian police would have notified us before removing it they would have obviously liaised before removing it," said the officer commanding police in Victoria Falls, Chief Superintendent Jairos Chiwona.
Media reports in Zambia said police identified the 23-year-old former University of Botswana student as Carol Kanyembo of Dambwa North Extension, Livingstone.
She allegedly disappeared on Friday evening after texting her friends saying she intended to take her life because she had disappointed her parents and her body was found on Tuesday, it said.
She reportedly dumped handbag and shoes at the point where she jumped into the mighty river and a note to her friends that she was disappointed in herself for letting her parents down by dropping out
of university on two occasions after failing examinations.
She reportedly also failed examinations at a university in Namibia and dropped out.
