A MUTARE woman allegedly sold a family house before marrying a pastor with Revival World Missions Church.
Police have since launched a manhunt for Diana Sarudzai Matika (55) who sold a family house before eloping with Ngondi Panasi.
Pastor Ngondi Panasi was readmitted into the church owned by Prophet Adventure Mtepfa after he was suspended by the church leadership for indiscipline and breaking various church rules on Sunday.
During Sunday service, Panasi returned to the church situated in Hobhouse high-density suburb and asked Prophet Mtepfa to bless his new marriage with another wife who is not Diana.
Diana, according to police, changed her surname to Ncube before he got married to Panasi.
Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Muzondiwa Clean, appealed to anyone with information leading to the arrest of Diana to contact their nearest police station.
"Her children filed a complaint against Diana at Mutare Central Police Station saying that she sold a house situated at Number 5, Upper 6th Street, Mutare, without their consent.
"They said the house jointly belonged to her and their late father, Gerald Matika, who wrote in a will that when he died, they would continue residing at the house. It was meant to be a family house, but Diana went on to sell the house and disappeared with the cash. She is nowhere to be found," said Asst Insp Clean.
Matika, who died in 2002, had written in his will that his wife Diana and his children would continue residing at the house.
A law firm, Henning and Lock, were the executers of the estate.
"The will restricted Diana from selling the house. Diana, however, got married using another surname, Ncube. She went on to tie the knot with Revival World Missions Church pastor, Ngondi Panasi.
"She later sold the house for $70 000 to Naison Zviuya in 2011 before she vanished. Her bitter children were and are against the transactions and we are therefore looking for Diana," said Asst Insp Clean.
Prophet Mtepfa, however, said Panasi was a problem child and had since been demoted to an ordinary church member.
