Mugabe off to Malaysia

President Robert Mugabe has left for Langkawi, Malaysia where he will join other leaders for the Langkawi International Dialogue.

He was seen off at the Harare International Airport by Vice President John Landa Nkomo, cabinet ministers Webster Shamu, Nicholas Goche and Dr Sydney Sekeramayi.

This year's Langkawi International Dialogue will be held under the theme 'Transforming Smart Partnership towards Socio-economic Prosperity.'

The dialogue will be held outside Langkawi for the first time at Putrajaya International Convention Centre, south of Langkawi.

The 2011 Dialogue will include dialogues on realising national visions through socio-economic transformation, innovative financing for transformation and poverty eradication.

The leaders will share and exchange views and experiences on the business of agriculture, competitiveness in manufacturing, promoting ICT enterprises, nurturing small and medium enterprises, climate and sustainable development and transition from agriculture to agro-business.

A total 18 Dialogues have been held and this year's Dialogue becomes the 9th one to be hosted by Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Vice President John Landa Nkomo is the Acting President.
