Glen Norah residents are up in arms with their councillor, Herbert Gomba whom they accuse of allocating land which was set aside for women's projects to MDC members.
The land in question is situated in Glen Norah B.
In the early 1980s, Amai Sally Mugabe leased the piece of land from the Harare City Council for women's projects which saw a group of women from the Glen Norah community rearing silk worms.
Although the project was abandoned, those who spoke to the ZBC News feel the women should continue benefitting from the piece of land.
They blame Councillor Gomba and the Harare City Council for conniving to allocate the land to MDC sympathisers.
In a telephone interview, Councillor Gomba refuted the allegations and said the land was allocated to home seekers who were on the waiting list by the Harare City Council with the approval of the Ministry of Local Government, National Housing and Public Works.
