10 die in road accident

10 people died on Monday morning when a commuter omnibus they were travelling in veered off the road and hit a tree along the Harare-Chitungwiza road.
The accident occurred near Mvurachena around 11am near Chinhamo Service Station.
The kombi was from town to Chitungwiza.
Among the deceased is the driver of the kombi who died on the spot together with six other people.
Two people died on admission at Chitungwiza Central Hospital, while another one died on admission at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
Eight other passengers were injured some of them seriously and were ferried to Chitungwiza Central Hospital.
Eye witnesses say the driver of the kombi was speeding and lost control of the vehicle.
