A Dangamvura man, Eliah Mutsotso, recently discovered a fresh human head buried in his residential garden in what he suspects to be a bid to tarnish his image by his enemies.
The human head is understood to be of a month old infant and had been buried in the garden for about four days.
Mutsotso, a plumber who resides in Area C with his wife, child and tenant, made the horrific discovery on Wednesday around 6pm.
"It's a shocking experience. I'm at a loss for words and don't know what to do. In fact it's difficult for me to talk about it at this stage," he said.
He discovered the head while transplanting vegetable seedlings around 6pm.
"My wife even accompanied me to the garden. She held the flashlight for me to see. But as I was doing so, I dug out the head. At first I thought it was a ball since kids always play around the area. My instinct then told me otherwise and as I took the flashlight to verify, I received the shock of my life," said Mutsotso.
He added that he quickly summoned neighbours and alerted the police, who said they were investigating the incident.
However, the incident has sparked a hot debate in the high density area with neighbours hinting that it might be a case of witchcraft with fingers pointing at Mutsotso.
