Mugabe photo book launched

A picture book chronicling the life of President Robert Mugabe entitled ‘90 Robert Gabriel Mugabe' has been launched at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.
The book is also sub-headed 'Pictorial Moments from the Life of His Excellency the President of Zimbabwe Comrade Robert Gabriel Mugabe'.
It is infused with quotes and excerpts from speeches that augment the images provided and portrays the life journey of President Mugabe from pre-independence to the present day.
The 164-paged picture book is divided into 8 chapters.
These are The First Family, Faith, The Struggle, Independence, The Popular Leader, The People's Choice, The World Stage and Post-Colonial Development and Luta Continua.
Executive Director of the National Gallery, Doreen Sibanda said the photo book is meant for future generations.
The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Andrew Langa said the book is made up of images spanning over six decades to tell the story of the President's life.
The book will be distributed across the provinces in schools, libraries, higher and tertiary education institutions.
It will also be accessible to members of the public including churches.
