Sekeramayi buried

Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Chief Elections Officer, Lovemore Sekeramayi who died in Lesotho last Wednesday has been buried at his family homestead, Marova village in Chihota.
ZEC Chairperson, Justice Rita Makarau said ZEC has lost a man who had valuable experience in his job.
She however, bemoaned poor conditions of service for civil servants whom she said are having to retire with nothing and also have to work beyond their retirement age as their pensions cannot sustain them.
The Minister of Defence, Dr Sydney Sekeramayi said the family has lost a humble and cheerful character who was ready to serve both the family and the country.
Electoral commissions from the SADC region also attended the burial, as well as cabinet ministers, service chiefs and business people.
Mr Sekeramayi, who was aged 68, is survived by his wife and three grandchildren.
