Information Media and Broadcasting Services Jonathan Moyo should not resign following attacks on his person by President Robert Mugabe, MDC-T politician Job Sikhala has said.

"People are urging Jonathan Moyo to resign if Mugabe doesn't appreciate his efforts to expose the corrupt cabal in that rotten party," Sikhala said.

"I totally disagree with that notion for two reasons. One that Mugabe would mistakenly think his voice still carry some freightful weight in this era where he has turned into a joke who make silly pronouncements every time he is on the public podium."

Sikhala said Zimbabweans should, "remember how he (Mugabe) uttered some nonsense against Godwills Masimiremba and everyone was thinking that the world has collapsed around Masimirembwa only for his to apologise to little man like Godwills after discovering that the money had been squandered by his wife building an orphanage in Mazowe.

"Recently he said he will deal with one of his unnamed minister and MP who have solicited some $120 000 bounty of so no one should pay attention to him. Can anyone out there tell me what Jonathan's crime is.

"He is my least favorable character to me but when he did not do anything wrong, there is nothing. Rather, Mugabe's failure to go when he still has some semblance of humanity in him is the most divisive factor in his crumbling party."
