Kombi driver knocks down a cyclist

Police are appealing for the information that may lead to the arrest of a commuter omnibus driver who ran over and killed a cyclist along Arcturas road near Chikurubi police camp before speeding away.

"We are appealing to the public to come forward and assist with information. It is the duty of every citizen to respect the sanctity of human life," she said.

Concerns have been raised by all stakeholders over the behaviour of most commuter omnibus drivers who stand accused of causing many road accidents with some sectors calling for the review of the age of public transport drivers from 25 to 35 years.
