Former ZMDC board chairman Godwills Masimirembwa has bounced back into the public enterprises limelight after being appointed to the same position in the CMED.
Announcing the new CMED board, Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Dr Obert Mpofu warned the members against pursuing personal interests ahead of those of the organisation and the ministry saying it is important to uphold good corporate governance.
Mr Masimirembwa, who will be deputised by Mr Seymour Mpofu, said the board’s immediate tasks are to work on the proposed urban transport system, recover CMED money lost through a botched fuel deal and create a business environment where the company will deliver a periodic dividend to government as the major shareholder.
