Jonathan Moyo snubs Zanu PF meeting

Zanu PF politburo member Jonathan Moyo reportedly snubbed a Matabeleland North provincial induction workshop held in Bulawayo over the weekend.

The Information Media and Publicity minister was recently rapped by President Robert Mugabe for allegedly using the state media to attack his political opponents and fanning divisions in the party.

Moyo was nowhere to be seen during the workshop despite the fact that he was part of the organizing committee.

Another politburo member who did not attend the meeting is Matabeleland North provincial minister Cain Mathema.

"We suspect that Moyo is still recovering from the attack on him by the President and he is not ready to face the people," a Zanu PF official said.

No comment could be obtained from Moyo and the Matabeleland North provincial chairperson Richard Moyo.
