There are reports that armed cops stormed Herald House in Harare this morning looking for the editor of The Sunday Mail, Edmund Kudzayi.
According to NewZimbabwe.com, Kudzaiyi slipped out of his office and went into hiding moments before the menacing cops came knocking.
The police raid came after simultaneous dawn break-ins at the homes of both Kudzayi in Harare and the editor of The Chronicle Mduduzi Mathuthu in Bulawayo.
Kudzayi had left for work when armed men broke down a gate at the home he shares with his parents. They claimed to be cops when confronted.
Meanwhile, Mathuthu used his Twitter account to report a break-in at his Bulawayo home.
However, unlike the raid at Kudzayi's home, Mathuthu said in his case the motive appeared to be robbery as various items- including a TV set were stolen.
