PROMINENT Zvishavane property mogul Jabulani Magidhivana's son Blessing has taken a vendor to court for calling him a goblin after intervening in a fight between the vendor and his wife.
Memory Zhou (28) of Kandodo in the small mining town is facing criminal insult charges after allegedly insulting Blessing saying he was his father's goblin because he did not own a car while children of other prominent businesspeople drove posh cars.
This was after Blessing's wife Egness Mabuzve had been involved in a fist fight with the vendor at a local restaurant over an undisclosed dispute.
Zhou allegedly insulted Blessing saying he was a child born out of prostitution and that was why he was an outcast in a rich family.
According to the charge sheet, Zhou on May 2 fought with Blessing's wife Mabuzve at a local restaurant over an undisclosed dispute.
Blessing restrained the two and Zhou allegedly grabbed him by his testicles before smashing his Nokia Lumia phone worth $250 on the ground. Blessing managed to set himself free and a furious Zhou then called him a goblin.
Blessing made a police report, leading to Zhou's arrest.
He was remanded out of custody on free bail to today for sentencing.
