More dump Tsvangirai for Renewal Team

THE Morgan Tsvangirai-led MDC-T party yesterday suffered another blow when several Manicaland provincial and district women's assembly executive members joined "axed" secretary-general Tendai Biti's Renewal Team.
Biti broke ranks together with several other legislators and senior party members after accusing Tsvangirai of running down the MDC-T.
Officials who joined the Biti camp yesterday were the provincial vice-chairperson Patricia Makamera, provincial secretary Clara Katupira and spokesperson Jennifer Jamu.
Others included national representative Lizzie Zvimba, national executive member of the women's assembly Thokozani Bote and the deputy secretary for the main wing in Manicaland as well as ward 6 councillor in Rusape Juliet Matope.
Mutasa South district chairperson Lina Mutape, who addressed a Press conference at the party's provincial offices yesterday on behalf of the defectors, said they suffered a lot of abuse at the hands of Tsvangirai's loyalists.
