TWO South African based Zimbabwean journalists are set to sue Zimbabwe Newspapers over allegations that they were the hidden hands behind controversial Facebook character Baba Jukwa.

Zimbabwe Newspapers are the publishers of The Herald, Sunday Mail, Sunday News, Chronicle among other publications.

Zimbabwe Newspapers publications were the first to publish stories claiming that the two journalist were behind the shadowy character, allegations that both scribes vehemently denied.

Harare lawyer Obert Gutu who is also MDC-T provincial spokesperson said he had finalized letters of demand on behalf of the two journalists.

"This afternoon, I worked my socks off tidying up and finalising the letters of demand. A historic defamation damages suit is about to be unleashed," Gutu said.

"It's all systems go and I am pretty confident both Mxolisi Ncube and Mkhululi Chimoio will be pretty happy with the progress made to date."

The developments on the law suit come following the recent arrest of Sunday Mail Editor Edmund Kudzayi on allegations of being the "real" Baba Jukwa administrator.
