Controversial MDC-T politician Job Sikhala has pleaded with his party leader Morgan Tsvangirai and former Reserve bank governor Gideon Gono to forgive detained Sunday Mail editor Edmund Kudzayi who recently revealed that he was writing under the pen name Amai Jukwa.

Amai Jukwa wrote for state run Herald newspaper attacking a number of politicians including Tsvangirai and Gono.

Kudzayi was arrested last week for allegedly running the Baba Jukwa Facebook page among a host of charges that if convicted might spend the rest of his life in prison.

This week, Tsvangirai indicated that he could be filing a lawsuit against Kudzayi for the malicious articles published under Amai Jukwa attacking his person.

"I think the troubles this young man Edmund Kudzayi is going through is enough to feel for him," Sikhala said.

"His admission of being Amai Jukwa has raised more dust for him as I gather that President Morgan Tsvangirai, Gidion Gono and a number of individuals who were his targets of a smear campaign are preparing lawsuits against him which he will be saved summons in prison.

"When things turn so ugly for you, you will know that it never rains but pours. But I think Tsvangirai and Gono and others who have been offended by him must just forgive him and move on. The young man is suffering enough."
