Nelson Mandela's grandson Chief Zwelivelile Mandlesizwe Dalibhunga Mandela is expected in the country early next month for the official launch of a local restaurant where he will be a guest of honour.
Better known as Mandla Mandela, the chief confirmed the visit on Monday. "Yes, I will be there for the launch of Gotcha Nyama on 11 July," he said.
He said this would be his first visit to Zimbabwe and will be accompanied by his wife Mbalenhle Makathini and the senior councillor Royal House of Mandela and Mvezo Traditional Council, Mapilisi Mandela.
Chief Mandela and his entourage will share the limelight as guests of honour with Tourism and Hospitality Minister Walter Mzembi and national police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba.
Gotcha Nyama is a food outlet at the Joina City mezzanine eatery which is being run by Zimbabwean M-Net Africa Magic presenter Josie Mahachi.
In an interview with The Herald on Wednesday Ms Mahachi said she has realised that in spite of all the negative reports about the economy there is no better time to do business in Zimbabwe than now.
"I was inspired by my sister who is running her business here and she is doing well."
