France to restore full ties with Zimbabwe

French Ambassador Laurent Delahouse says France is optimistic about resuming direct co-operation with Zimbabwe by year end.

Delahousse praised what he said were positive signals from President Mugabe's government since it came to power last year.

He said French investors want to come back to Zimbabwe in a safe, sustained environment which the government of Zimbabwe is doing at the moment.

He said diplomatic relations between Zimbabwe and the EU are also improving each day.
