Sunday Mail Editor Edmund Kudzayi and his brother Phillip appeared at the Harare Magistrate court on Monday to hear that the case was being postponed to August.
The Kudzayi brothers are facing charges of attempting to subvert a constitutionally elected government and were both granted bail last week coupled with stringent bail conditions.
The state is accusing Edmund of being the anonymous Facebook blogger Baba Jukwa who claims to be a mole in President Robert Mugabe's ruling party. Defence lawyers urged state prosecutors to come up with a trial date.
Meanwhile University of Zimbabwe student Romeo Tanyaradzwa Musemburi, who was arrested for posting a comment on Baba Jukwa's Facebook wall, remains in police custody.
The 20 year-old Musemburi is facing insurgency and banditry charges. The opposition MDC-T has condemned his arrest castigating the government's pre-occupation with the Baba Jukwa issue at the expense of pressing national issues.
'In short, the government is on Facebook while the people of Zimbabwe suffer,' a statement from the MDC-T said.
Kudzayi vehemently denies that he is linked to Baba Jukwa in any way, but does admit to being Amai Jukwa, the pro ZANU PF social media character.
