White dairy commercial farmers will not be evicted from their farming land because they are making meaningful contribution to the economy and have boosted employment opportunities.
Land and Rural Resettlement deputy minister Tendai Savanhu revealed this in Gweru on Thursday during the annual general meeting of the ZADF.
He urged the dairy farmers to apply for land tenure documents as a guarantee to their continued existence.
Savanhu said as government they find it not good to keep on importing milk as they is enough land to do that and they have noticed that the majority of white farmers are dairy farmers and are producing meaningful milk.
