7 die in kombi, haulage truck accident - Pictures

About seven people reportedly died last night when a Kombi they were travelling in was hit on the side by a haulage truck.
The accident, according to witnesses occurred at 11pm at Tree Tops before Gweru.
The bodies were retrieved last night but one of a child remained trapped in the wreckage and was removed this morning.
Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the Toyota Granvia who was travelling towards Gweru stopped and parked on the right side of the road.
Nyathi said on trying to get back into the road the vehicle was hit by the Freightliner haulage truck that was travelling towards Bulawayo, adding that all the passengers in the Toyota Granvia died on the sport.
The driver of the haulage truck, however, survived the accident and had no serious injuries.
