Zim economy on a recovery path, says Mugabe

President Robert Mugabe says the economy is on a recovery path following the introduction of the integrated result based management (IRBM), which will see all government and quasi-government institutions coming up with their strategic action plans.
Mugabe told participants and attendants of the 2014 President's Medal Shoot competition at Cleveland Rifle Range in Harare that the economy is on a recovery path, adding that government is going to employ several strategies and ZIMASSET is key.
On the sporting side, President Mugabe, who crowned the winners, said Zimbabwe is also proud of its security forces who have made a mark across the globe.
Several top shootists, who won in the various categories of the President's Medal Shoot, were crowned.
Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ)'s Sergeant Mugova emerged the champion at arms after earning 414 points.
Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA)'s Corporal Mambara was second with 405 points and another ZNA participant, Corporal Shara in third with 402 points.
In the ladies section, Zimbabwe Prison Services dominated as Chief Prison Officer Katyamaenza was crowned the best female shootist, while Chief Prison Officer Sebata came second.
Awards were also given to the top shootists in the various security units that participated; namely the ZNA, AFZ, prison, Presidential guards, civilian clubs and war veterans.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police were this year's President's Medal Shoot hosts.
