The outgoing Nigerian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Mamman Nuhu has bed farewell to President Robert Mugabe at his Munhumutapa office on Tuesday.
Mr Nuhu, who leaves the country after a three-year tour of duty, thanked the people of Zimbabwe for enabling him to have a good stay in the country.
He said the Nigeria-Zimbabwe cooperation needs to be re-activated, adding that an air service agreement between the two countries should enhance that cooperation.
On the Boko Haram insurgents, Mr Nuhu said his government has made a breakthrough by arresting some of the king pins of the insurgents.

He said President Mugabe told him of the historical stories of Zimbabwe and Nigeria dating back to the years that saw Nigeria becoming a member of the front line states.

Last week, Ambassador Nuhu paid a courtesy call on Vice President Joice Mujuru, when he said Zimbabwe is on its way to economic greatness, adding that the successful implementation of ZIMASSET will see the country regaining its former glory.
He said Zimbabwe was 'undersold', with Western media giving a false impression of the country to outsiders.

"The people who do not know what is going on have all sorts of perceptions," he said.

"I want to tell you that anyone who visits will be surprised right from the airport because the situation in the country is very different from the image that is being painted from outside."

Ambassador Nuhu, leaves Zimbabwe this week and is now going on retirement.
