In a suspected case of Satanism, Leopold Takawira Secondary school students in Mvuma are living in fear after their colleague collapsed and died mysteriously amid suspicions of the headmaster, Camius Kokayi's involvement in occultism.
The EyeShot visited the "haunted" school yesterday with interviews revealing that the school is in dire need of divine intervention as pupils are reportedly collapsing in class.
Sources at the school say that at the burial of the deceased (name withheld), a school girl "possessed" by Kokayi's "spirit" confessed how he had initiated some of the students into Satanism at the school.
"The possessed girl said, she had been initiated into Satanism by the school head," a student said.
"We are so afraid, we don't know what will happen to us," the student added.
It also reported that another "possessed" student foretold that Kokayi who was on leave at that time would return with a limp as a result of an injury, which turned out to be true when he resumed work.
Efforts to contact the school head, were fruitless as he was not in his office.
But when contacted, Kokayi denied commenting on the allegations.
"In am not authorised to talk to the press," Kokayi said before hanging up and subsequently switching off his phone.
According to Mvuma Daily, a local Facebook page, 40 girls at the school have been initiated into Satanism.
If the page is anything to go by, more students would be affected in the near future.
Councilo for Ward 13, Tremendous Musara confirmed the Satanism fears, saying parents were concerned about their children's safety at the school after the mysterious death and reports of hordes of students caught up in the hornet nest.
Kokayi reportedly banned all Christian activities like Scripture Union at the school, opting to call his Pastor friends to pray at assemblies.
"He has banned all our Christian activities and he does not give Pastors enough time to preach or pray for us," a student said adding that one Pastor Hama was given 30 minutes to preach at assembly.
Kokayi is said to have been transferred from Chemakanda Secondary School in Chirumhanzu over the same allegations.
