Madzibaba Ishamea flees to South Africa

Madziba Ishamae Mufani who is on the run after alleged assaulting police and journalists has escaped to South Africa.

Officials from his church said Mufani arrived in South Africa safely in Rustenburg in the north province.

The officials said he was assisted together with his family by church members to escape via the Beitbridge Border post.

Mufani has been on the run as 25 other members of the sect have appeared before the courts several times and are currently out on bail.
