The CMED Pvt Ltd $3 million fuel scandal has exploded with the government transport operator's board recommending the arrest of managing director Davison Mhaka and fuels manager Brian Manjengwa.

Mhaka and Manjengwa allegedly colluded with shadowy local company, First Oil to $2.7 million from CMED in a botched diesel deal.

Prosecutor General Johannes Tomana yesterday declined to shed light on the latest developments.

CMED said a closer analysis of the First Oil transaction had revealed that Manjengwa and Mhaka appear to have colluded with the fuel's deals directors adding that the list of the accused persons had been enlarged to include Mhaka and Manjengwa.
