Friends of Grace Mugabe's Children Trust launched

A team of Zimbabwean doctors has launched the Friends of Amai Mugabe's Children Trust in an effort to provide health care services to disadvantaged people.
The team, led by Dr Stephen Karimu of Makumbe Hospital, aims to help people who can not afford medical bills by providing free medical services through out reaches.
The medical team comprises a pool of eight general practitioners and two specialists while nurses will be hired for the outreach programmes.
The two specialists are one paediatrician and one general surgeon.
The trust will conduct its first outreach on Friday at St Joseph's Clinic in Chishawasha which is situated one kilometre away from the Chishawasha turn off along the Harare-Mutoko road.
The team of doctors targets to conduct three outreaches every month and it has received support from the corporate world which helps source the drugs, medical equipment and other needs for the exercise.
The children's trust was launched on the 23rd of July, coinciding with the First Lady's 49th birthday.
