A Harare woman attempted to commit suicide after discovering that her cheating husband had sired four children with her younger sister.
Anna Chirume said she became suspicious after her husband Mathew Mawisire started physically and verbally abusing her over petty issues.
This was revealed at the Harare Civil Court where Mawisire was seeking a protection order against Chirume whom he said was breaching his peace.
"This woman is breaching my peace everyday because she comes to my workplace where she verbally abuses me in front of my workmates," he said.
Mawisire said he was no longer interested in the marriage and had given Chirume a token of divorce but her relatives are forcing him to live with her.
"I gave her a token of divorce but her relatives are forcing me to live with her," he said.
Mawasire said he was unable to stay with Chirume whom he said had suicidal tendencies.
"I want her evicted from my house and to be barred from visiting my workplace," Mawisire said.
Chirume said her husband's relationship with her younger sister had brought a lot of pain in her life.
"I started suspecting that he was seeing someone when he started coming home late," she said.
Chirume told Harare Civil Court magistrate Tafadzwa Muvhami that she was being haunted by the fact that Mawisire cheated on her and sired four children with her blood sister.
"To make matters worse my husband is now renting a house for my young sister and they are now staying together,"Chirume said.
Muvhami dismissed Mawisire's application due to lack of merit and ordered the two to live in peace.
