MDC-T leadership meeting in Kadoma is reportedly divided on how to handle the contentious propositions from other members of the party who want to empower party leader Morgan Tsvangirai to appoint his executive.
Stung by two splits engineered by the party's consecutive secretary-general's since its formation in 1999 some members of the MDC-T had proposed to reduce the former's authority through proposal that would make their appointment and that of other executive's, a prerogative of the party's president.
According to party sources, the meeting in Kadoma failed to agree on whether party leader should be empowered to appoint his lieutenants or not as some members felt the process was undemocratic.
