A Caledonia woman allegedly poured the deadly rogor pesticide in her neighbour's well in an attempt to kill her following a dispute over land, the Harare Civil Court has heard.
Shorai Chirungu claimed her neighbour Alice Sachirahwe, who is also a treasurer at a co-operative they both belong to, teamed up with the co-operative's chairperson Mercy Gwatirizi to harass her over her residential stand.
Chirungu was seeking a protection order against Sachirahwe and Gwatirizi whom she said were disturbing her peace.
"These two women are evil. They secretly sold my residential stand to another man and they are now threatening to evict me from that place to pave way for him," she said.
Chirungu accused Sachirahwe of pouring the poison in her well in a bid to kill her over the residential stand dispute.
"The two are in the habit of visiting my place of residence where they verbally abuse me, calling me a poor person," she said.
Chirungu pleaded with magistrate Ms Babra Masinire to bar Sachirahwe and Gwatirizi from visiting her place of residence.
Sachirahwe and Gwatirizi denied the allegations and accused Chirungu of being known in their neighbourhood for violence and accused her of causing problems in the community.
Ms Masinire deferred the matter to Friday and ordered both parties to bring their witnesses.
