Update on derailed passenger train - 22 passengers admitted to UBH

National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) work crews with the Bulawayo fire brigade started work to return the 8 derailed coaches onto the tracks at 10 am today.
The passenger train from Bulawayo to Harare has derailed at Heany Junction on Saturday night.
Buses and private transporters reported brisk business as they ferried 111 passengers who escaped unhurt, from the site.
Investigations are still underway into the cause of the derailment. The NRZ is expected to issue a statement later today.
Information from the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) indicates 22 passengers from the train were admitted to the hospital, with one person seriously injured.
