Grace Mugabe is our choice, says Midzi

Zanu-PF's Harare provincial chairperson Amos Midzi yesterday came out guns blazing as factionalism, confusion and smear campaigns continue to rock the ruling party ahead of an elective congress in December.

Midzi along with Lands deputy minister Tendai Savanhu stand accused of fanning violence and being the brains behind the attack on a party official in the volatile suburb of Mbare at the weekend, over the alleged support for First Lady Grace Mugabe, who is tipped to take over as the party's Women's League boss.

Savanhu is the Mbare constituency legislator.

The Epworth lawmaker said that his province had long endorsed President Robert Mugabe's wife as its choice to take over from current leader, Oppah Muchinguri.
