ZBC Voice of Zimbabwe Assignments Executive, Joseph Mandizvidza has died.
Mandizvidza died in a car accident outside Selous, 80 kilometres from Harare after the car he was travelling in burst its rear tyre and overturned resulting in him sustaining serious head injuries. He died on the spot.
Mandizvidza will be buried in Gweru at Mtapa Cemetery Tuesday morning.
A family spokesman who is also ZBC General Manager News and Current Affairs, Mr Tazzen Mandizvidza, said Joseph was not only an asset to the family, but also to ZBC as well as the media fratenity.
Mr Mandizvidza also said it is painful to see such a promising and hardworking young man departing in such a tragic way, but said as a family they entrust everything in God's hands.
Born in 1980 in a family of eight, the late Mandizvidza did his Advanced Levels at Nkululeko High School.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science Media and Society Studies degree at Midlands State University.
At the time of his death he was finalising his dessertation for a Masters Degree in the same field.
Joseph leaves behind wife Ratidzo and a three year-old son, Tinotenda.
