Acting President Joice Mujuru has urged Zanu PF party supporters to be wary of people who are bent on destroying the revolutionary party from within.
Mujuru said this in her key note address during the Mashonaland Central Zanu PF provincial coordination meeting in Bindura.
She castigated party leaders who are causing confusion and disunity by peddling falsehoods ahead of the Zanu PF elective congress scheduled for December.
Mujuru reiterated that the integrity of the party does not come from fighting for positions or trading accusations as such activities are counter-productive.
"Let us show discipline and ensure that Zanu PF will continue to lead this country. Trading accusations, fighting for positions and vote-buying is tantamount to campaigning for opposition parties," said Mujuru.
She condemned reports of vote buying that characterised the recent Zanu PF youths and women's league conferences.
In his remarks, Mashonaland Central Zanu PF provincial chairman, Luke Mushore called for unity of purpose and warned party members bent on promoting factionalism and vote buying that they will face disciplinary measures.
