Biti, Mangoma fallout

A fight for power has erupted within the MDC Renewal Team as Tendai Biti and Elton Mangoma are reportedly eyeing to lead the party.

The Renewal team is expected to go for a congress in six months where both are expected to make formal announcement on their intentions.

Mangoma was the first to come out openly about the need for leadership renewal In the MDC T led by Tsvangirai.

An insider in the Renewal Team said those routing for Biti include Solomon Madzore.

Mangoma however refuted the allegations that the allegations that there was any canvasing going on in the party at the moment.

He said anyone interested in leading the party and can contest in any position.

Currently Samuel Sipepa Nkomo chairs the party on interim basis.
